Narrative description of Project:


This assignment provided third-party monitoring, supervision and validation of procurement, installation, rehabilitation and performance certification of agricultural irrigation and land-development machinery under the Ministry of Agriculture Development & Irrigation (MIDAGRI). The machinery—used to support irrigation infrastructure development, land preparation/land leveling and improved agricultural productivity in targeted Sierra areas—included dozers, excavators, trailers and associated parts. The scope covered compliance verification against specifications, validation of parts replacement and maintenance activities, testing and calibration checks, field performance trials, and evidence-based reporting for acceptance and commissioning.

Description of actual services provided by your staff within the assignment:


  • Validated procured machinery/equipment and spare parts for compliance with approved standards, technical specifications, and contract requirements.
  • Verified installation, replacement and rehabilitation works on existing equipment (dozers, excavators, trailers, etc.) in accordance with the contract inventory list and approved work plan.
  • Certified maintenance/repair/rectification activities as per manufacturer guidelines, including verification of the quality, quantity, and traceability of replaced parts (new vs. damaged).
  • Witnessed and validated workshop testing and calibration procedures, confirming operational readiness through documented test results.
  • Conducted field performance validation of repaired/rectified machinery to confirm efficiency, functionality, and reliability against specified standards.
  • Prepared and maintained a comprehensive inventory register/report for existing, newly procured and replaced parts/equipment, including reconciliation and verification records.
  • Prepared comprehensive assessment and validation reports against agreed technical parameters and work plan requirements, including non-conformance reporting and corrective
    action follow-up.
