The STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING sector includes the final design and technical supervision of the works for civil and industrial buildings, bridges, reservoirs, special foundations, underground works, bulkheads, geotechnical works, reinforced and prestressed concrete, steel structures, floating structures, two-dimensional shell structures of any complexity. This sector includes design according to Seismic Analysis of Safety-Related Nuclear Structures facilities including but not limited to, above and below ground structures, buried piping, above ground vertical tanks and structures with seismic isolation systems. All that according to EUROPEAN STANDARD EC 2 and ASCE STANDARD 4-98.
The STATIC REPARATION ENGINEERING sector includes the final design and technical supervision of the works, static and dynamics load of structures tests and material testing (reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, deep foundation etc.) for any civil and industrial construction, bridges, tall buildings etc.
The STRUCTURAL CONSOLIDATION sector includes the final design and technical supervision of the works, for civil and industrial construction, bridges, tall buildings with particular reference to the interventions of consolidation, repair and reinforcement of structures using traditional methods and new technologies (e.g. carbon fibers).
The WATER SUPPLY AND SEWERAGE SYSTEM sector includes the design and supervision of works for water abstraction, conveyance, distribution and drainage system serving inhabited centres and industrial complexes, water demand and supply studies, etc.
The HYDROELECTRIC PLANTS sector includes the design and supervision of works for power stations, the relevant dams and intake structures and electromechanical equipment, as well as studies of hydraulics, hydrology, and regulation system.
The WATER TREATMENT sector includes the design and supervision of works for water purification or treatment plants, and studies and analyses of the chemical, physical, bacteriological and organoleptic (taste, smell, etc.) characteristics of water.
The DAMS sector includes the design and supervision of works for concrete, earth and rockfill dams, as well as studies of hydraulics, hydrology, geology, soil mechanics. etc.
The RIVER TRAINING AND CORRECTION WORKS sector includes the design and supervision of works on check dams, river lining works, as well as hydraulics, hydrological, geomorphologic studies, etc.
The TRANSPORT sector includes the design and supervision of works for roads, motorways, airports, ports, railways, waterways, and traffic and transport economic studies.
The REGIONAL PLANNING sector includes the design and study of integrated development plans, watershed management plans, urban and rural planning, land inventories, transport development plans, etc.
The MARITIME STRUCTURES sector includes the design and supervision of works for ports, marinas, outer breakwater, breakwater barriers, anti-erosion devices, meteoric and sea studies, studies about coast erosion, etc.
Further specialization of INTECO is drawing up studies about ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT VALUTATION of major civil engineering structures. For the study of environmental indicators, impact, highly specialized methodologies are used: chromatic matrix, Leopold's matrix, Clark's matrix, method of network, Battelle method.
The AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT sector includes the design and supervision of works for irrigation system, drainage, networks, soil, agronomic and livestock development studies, agricultural industry, rural development projects, technical assistance, soil improvement, rural sociology, etc.
The ARCHITECTURE sector includes the drawing up of urban master plans, the design and supervision of works of public and private buildings, industrial complexes, hotel and tourism complexes, studies of city furniture, interior, etc
The WASTE - DISPOSALS sector includes the design, the supervision of works and the assistance at the waste-disposals direction and conduction for urban solid wastes, special, toxic and noxious as well as incineration works, recovery plants and reutilisation of gas, etc.
The AQUACULTURE AND FISHERY sector includes the study, the design, the supervision of works and the assistance at the aquaculture and fishery direction and conduction in fresh and sea water, as well as identification studies and definition of intervention programs for the support and development of different types of fishery.
The ENERGY AND PLANT ENGINEERING sector includes the study, the design, the supervision of works and the turn-key construction of power plants, electric generation, transmission and distribution system, industrial plants, electromechanical equipment, power market analysis, energy planning, energy saving, consumption optimization, co-generation power plants, etc.
